Sulfur hexafluoride gas is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-flammable inert gas with excellent insulation performance. It is mainly used as an insulation material for high-voltage switches, large-capacity transformers, and high-voltage cables, such as sulfur hexafluoride high-voltage switches, GIS (gas insulated substation) combined electrical equipment. Therefore, the role of SF6 (sulfur hexafluoride) gas in the power system is still relatively prominent. As a gas insulator, it is widely used in electronic equipment, radar waveguides, particle accelerators, transformers, lightning arresters, etc., and has wide application space in power, environmental monitoring, metallurgy, medicine, and military fields.

After the leakage of sulfur hexafluoride, electric arcs may occur, resulting in the production of many fluorides and sulfides within the high-voltage power equipment chambers. These substances are highly toxic and can cause adverse reactions such as cold-like symptoms, nausea and vomiting, skin allergies, fatigue, and damage to the respiratory system when inhaled by humans. In severe cases, it can lead to death. Therefore, detecting the content of SF6 gas and oxygen in the environmental air with intelligent SF6 environmental monitoring system in substations has become very important.

Fosensor SF6 gas detector adopts advanced microelectronic processing technology, which has high precision, strong stability, and low error rate.
